Thanks to your donation: 91 young Namibians start the new school and training year full of hope.
The importance of this support can hardly be overstated. In Namibia, access to quality education is not a given for many children. The financial hardship faced by many families means that school fees often cannot be covered, forcing children to drop out of their education. Thanks to the commitment of donors, these young people are given the opportunity for continuous schooling – a crucial step on the road out of poverty.
In addition to the students, they also benefit also 14 trainees From the donations: Two young people are completing a Training as an office clerk, two make one Welding apprenticeshipand one learns that Carpentry. Three young women become Nursestrained, two are completing an apprenticeship as educator, one will Electrician, another car mechanic and two begin a Chef training. These apprenticeships are invaluable, as they not only teach young people practical skills, but also directly qualify them for the job market.
The Namibian school year begins in January and ends in November. The children and young people are already eagerly anticipating the start of the school year. They know that your donations will not only give them access to education, but also to a better future. Many of them have big dreams: they want to work as teachers, craftspeople, nurses, or entrepreneurs, thereby strengthening their families and communities.
The Joachim and Margret Knoche will travel to Namibia in February to meet all the sponsored students and trainees in person. During their visit, they will hold discussions, monitor the young people's progress, and encourage them in their professional and personal development. This personal contact is a valuable source of motivation and recognition for the children and young people.
The commitment of our donors has far-reaching consequences: Education and training give children and young people in Namibia not only knowledge, but also self-confidence and optimism. They enable them to realize their dreams and actively shape their future. On behalf of all young Namibians, we say: Thank you so much for your support!
